I can highly recommend this introductory workshop to anyone who is interested in gaining a foundation in screen printing skills. Spike was a fab teacher and was both encouraging and supportive and clearly passionate about his work. I came away with a few finished prints and feel more than satisfied with my efforts. I am now looking forward to continuing my printing journey with Walden Arts. Thank You Spike 🙂

I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone who is interested in learning about screenprinting or like me wants to brush up on their skills and get back into it. I thoroughly enjoyed both days and now feel far more confident and can’t wait to go back and do more printing. Spike is such a fantastic teacher, very encouraging and he really knows his stuff! Such a lovely studio space to work in too!

The screen printing course at Walden Arts exceeded all my expectations. The printmaking room, in the historic sail loft building is a lovely space to be in and Spike created a very welcoming, amiable atmosphere. He has a wealth of knowledge on the subject and everything was presented in a very clear and structured way, but was flexible enough to easily accommodate our groups’ diverse ideas and approaches. I enjoyed learning some of the basics on the first day, and was happy to came home with a handful of my first screen prints. On the second day we went into a little more depth, and I began to get more of a feel for the medium. I loved it, and look forward to coming back for more sessions in the future. I would highly recommend this course for anyone interested in exploring this form of printmaking.

Walden Art Studio is a little gem in the heart of Cardigan. A really lovely space to relax and get creative. The 2 day screen printing course was fantastic… I felt like I learned more over the two days here than a whole year in art college! Spike is really friendly and approachable and clearly knows his stuff! I will definitely be going back to do all the other courses. Highly recommend.

We had a great couple of days! Thanks for making the process so clear and sharing your skills, tips and tricks. The hands-on approach was the best way to learn and I left with so many new ideas – thanks so much Spike!

Walden Arts is an inspiring print studio worth investigating for the brilliant courses and ongoing opportunities to use the studio space. I signed up for screen printing over two sessions with zero knowledge. We were thrown in the deep end of a great creative experience using professional processes and it was certainly challenging. Spike is so encouraging, and we would all have loved to stay for hours longer. You come away with a head full of ideas and a wish to learn an awful lot more – the very best type of course!

This is such a great course in a wonderful space – what an incredible couple of days! Spike put us all at ease instantly, sharing his knowledge and skills in a really fun, inspiring and creative way and after learning the basics encouraged us to let loose with all our ideas. I learnt so much over the two days and left feeling confident to pursue screen printing further at home. I can’t wait to see where these new printing skills take me!
