Description
Explore a more experimental, painterly approach to screen printing in this one day course. Unlike traditional screen printing in which colours lay down very flat, screen-mono allows for a wide variety of textures and effects. In this method the screen is painted with watercolours and then printed with a clear medium resulting in an outcome much closer in appearance to watercolour than to screen print! This approach creates varied editions, allowing you to work more intuitively and with greater experimentation than with traditional screen printing. It is necessary for this course that you have some previous experience, beginners to screen printing should start with our Introduction to Screen Printing Course.
These sessions run on Fridays during our open access sessions with other artists working in the space. Once you have made your booking we will arrange by email the dates for you to attend so as to make sure the necessary equipment will be available. All materials are provided.
