Description
Explore landscape through monoprinting in this 3 hour introductory workshop. Create light and tone by adding and removing ink from a perspex plate both in black and white or in colour to create dynamic expressive landscapes. By painting on a plate instead of on paper or canvas a variety of textures and effects can be produced to create beautiful and surprising images. This course is suitable for all abilities, though it may help to come with some sketches or photos to work from but this is not absolutely necessary. All materials are provided. Upon completion of this introductory course you will be welcome to return to the studio to continue monoprinting during our open access Friday sessions.

A wonderful introduction and refresher to some of the many and varied techniques encapsulated within the techniques of Monoprinting. Spike and Rosies help and advice was a perfect base for exploration into this world. The studio is so well planned and equipped with presses and individual work spaces providing a real asset for the art community and individuals alike. I can’t wait to be taking part in the next course of etching.
This facility along with the increasing number of art opportunities in Cardigan is going to make this location a really strong and important art community now and for the future.
