Learn how to turn your landscape photography or drawings into a multi colour, layered linocut in this two day course with printmaking artist Beth Knight.
Beth creates linocut prints of landscapes using techniques to capture light, distance and detail. Bring in a photo or drawing of your choice (sized at 20x15cm) or choose from a selection of supplied images and Beth will guide you through the process of turning your image into a lino cut.
Using either the ‘reduction’ method or the ‘multi block’ method you will be shown how to work with 2 or 3 layers of colour to form your image. Beth will also introduce techniques for capturing light effects and a sense of distance and depth in your design.
Suitable for beginners or for those with more experience. All materials are included.
