Description
This five-week course provides an introduction to some of the basic processes of the print room. You will get to try relief-printing using lino or woodcut, drypoint intaglio, collagraph, mono-printing and screen printing. Each week you will try a different process getting a feel for the characteristics and possibilities of each, and how they can can work in combination. This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to explore the possibilities of the print room. Perhaps you have some experience in one or other medium, or none at all, either way everyone is welcome. Please bring your sketchbook and/ or a head full of ideas, all other materials will be provided.
On completion of this course you will be welcome back to join our open access ‘Print Club’ sessions to continue with your work if you wish.

Great course, great studio, great people!
I have been on a few printing courses over the years, this one was the most enjoyable to date. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere whilst still getting the job done. I especially appreciated being introduced to some to DIY options to the screenprinting element, which made it all feel a lot more achievable for someone trying to work at home – my previous experience of screenprint tuition had been so professional equipment heavy that it had needlessly scared me off.
